BevNET Review: Steaz's first attempt at diet energy is a pretty interesting one. Rather than using artificial sweeteners, they've stuck to their organic ways, relying on 9g of sugar (there are 23g in the other flavors) to give this product its lightly sweetened flavor. The reduced level of sweetness means less of a balance with the other flavors in the drink, resulting in something that's a bit bitter to the finish. However, we think that a bitter finish is better than the harsh aftertaste of most other diet drinks, so this one is worth a serious look. Packaging is good, with a clear differentiation between the regular flavors without sacrificing much in the way of appearance. Overall, an innovative approach to diet energy that has a decent enough flavor to succeed.
