BevNET Review: The Jones Sugar-Free never ceases to amaze. We really liked the black cherry and ginger ale flavors, but honestly were a big skeptical of what a sugar-free Jones Root Beer would taste like. Fortunately, we were pleasantly surprised by this product. It features a mildly sweet flavor that has a subtle wintergreen-like flavor to it and a generally crisp finish. The sucralose aftertaste is very minimal and overall it doesn't take away from the root beer flavor. Overall, this is perhaps the best sugar-free root beer we've tasted to date.

Pretty good for sugar-free. There are better root beers, though.

Bad Sucralose Finish

Overtly prevalent chlorine finish as is the case with many Splenda-sweetened beverages. I love Jones' sodas as a rule, and admire them for trying to get away from aspartame in their sugar-free line . . . but this root beer is ruined by the sucralose finish.
