In the rebranding of ChanTea to TEAloe, the only flavor that didn’t make the cut was Lemon (which was our favorite). In its place comes this flavor, Mint. While we’d still like to see Lemon back as part of the lineup, the mint variety is pretty enjoyable. Think of it as mint-flavored green tea sweetened with sugar and enhanced with aloe pulp -- that’s exactly what this product is. It’s definitely a thirst-quenching and enjoyable product to consume and the aloe bits are definitely something that, at least in our opinion, add to the overall experience of the drink. Taking a look at the package, we like the move to a 16 oz. bottle and the fact that the product is made in the U.S. (most aloe vera drinks are made in Asia). However, it feels a little too safe, with a text heavy design that’s extremely simple at the expense of having any real identifying mark. Fortunately, we think that they could, with the aid of a package designer, address this within the framework that they’ve created. Until then, we just worry that this product, which is definitely pleasing to drink, will be missed due it’s lack of visual excitement.
