Teany is the product of techno rocker Moby and his business partner Kelly Tisdale. Since 2002, they've owned and operated the Teany, an eclectic tea shop / cafe located in NYC, where they've brewed up some unique tea-based concoctions. Since everyone can't make it to NYC to try Teany firsthand, they've decided to bottle the teas which are now available in five flavors.

Green Tea Lemonade

BevNET Review:
With only a mild amount of lemon flavor poking through the light green tea flavor, Teany's Green Tea with Lemonade drinks much more like a green tea than it does a lemonade. There's a decent dose of green tea flavor and while it certainly gives the product an earthy feeling, it doesn't have any grassy taste to it. The lemon flavor is sour, rather than sweet, which gives the product an original taste. Packaging continues Teany's style of minimalist two color design, which it pulls off well. Overall, a great addition to the lineup.

White Tea with Blueberry

BevNET Review:
Teany's attempt to combine white tea and blueberry is definitely not one of their better flavors. The biggest problem is that the blueberry flavor overpowers the rest of the flavors in the product. We found ourselves with the aftertaste of sugar and blueberry flavoring left in our mouth. Teany should definitely revisit this flavor, because we are sure that it can be a good one with a bit more effort

White Tea with Pomegranate

Teany's entry into white tea is, like their other brews, a one-of-a-kind concoction. Featuring pomegranate, blueberry and pear juices and a very light white tea body, this product has a delicately complex taste that we really enjoyed. Despite the light level of sweetness, this product does have 15 grams of carbohydrates -- but they come from the juices and the evaporated cane sugar used in the product. The packaging is plain-Jane but catchy, and we think that it will connect with the type of consumer who is likely to buy this unique tea infusion. Overall, a very well done product.

Energy Green Tea with Guarana

Energy Tea from Teany is a concoction that was brewed using green and black teas as well as several energy enhancing ingredients, including yerba mate, guarana and ginger. While the tea does taste great, we'd probably question the ability of this product to increase one's energy as this product has more of a relaxing feel to it. Despte this minor inconsistency, the flavor of this product is excellent -- the black and green teas work extremely well together and the yerba mate and guarana give a little kick to the finish. Give this one a try.

Green Tea with Ginseng

Teany's Green Tea with Ginseng is a refreshingly light brew of green tea without the grassy aftertaste typically associated with green tea. The beverage has a delicate green tea flavor sweetened with organic cane juice and enhanced with ginseng. This beverage also appears to have a slight honey flavor to it, which helps give it a smooth body. Overall, a very refreshing entry into the RTD tea category.

Iced Tea with Lemon

Teany Iced Tea with Lemon is a classic brew of black tea that has been lightly sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice and flavored using natural lemon. With only 20g of sugar per bottle, the brew has a mild flavor and a smooth mouthfeel. The packaging is clean and simple, which fits with the Moby's minimalist image. Overall, the product is clean and well executed but might benefit from a slight boost in sweetness. Otherwise, an extremely refreshing beverage.

Vanilla Berry Hibiscus

Vanilla Berry Hibiscus is our favorite flavor of the Teany line of bottled iced teas. The smooth taste of this beverage is exquisite -- the light, delicate flavor of the hibiscus tea is perfectly complemented with the addition of the vanilla and fruit flavors. The use of organic evaporated cane juice along with apple and pineapple juices give this product its mild sweetness and leave the product with only 60 calories per bottle. Overall, its a very soothing and refreshing beverage.

Peach Berry Green Tea

Peach Berry Green Tea is definitely the most distinctive flavor of the Teany brand. This flavor is surely the product of some experimentation. The result is delicious, featuring a light brew of tea that has mild floral accents and a clean finish. Peach Berry Green Tea is truly unlike any green tea we've ever sampled. The fruit flavor is very mellow and gives the product a slight peach-fuzz consistency. Overall, this product is truly top-notch and can stand on its own merits rather than its celebrity backing.
