BevNET Review: We like The Beast Zero much more than we like the original. For starters, the can design is much more attractive. The bright red can and the large "ZERO" text give this a personality of its own that we didn't see in the original. The flavor has a moderate level of sweetness that is quite good considering that this is a no-carb product. There's a slightly medicinal aftertaste, but it's no worse than any other diet energy drink we've sampled. Overall, this is a pretty decent tasting energy drink and we like the design of this can much more than we like the original.Reviewed on: 3/28/2006

BevNET Review: The Beast Energy Drink has a lot of things that will likely seem familiar to anyone who has paid attention to this category. It's made in Austria. It has a dual color design. It has an aggressive sounding name. It uses the standard Red Bull-style flavor. Technically speaking, it has all the things that Red Bull has, except that it's not Red Bull. So, where does that leave The Beast? Unless you have something against the other animals/imagery used by The Beast's competitors, this product's most powerful differentiator will be price. While this doesn't give The Beast any boost in its BevNET rating, this may prove to be a good business strategy for them. Overall, The Beast is a decent energy drink with value being its key selling point.Reviewed on: 3/28/2006
