Review: Lime Ricky

Pop Shoppe’s Lime Ricky flavor is a sugary lime-flavored soda that is packaged in a vintage looking bottle. The taste of the drink seems like it’s 90 percent of what it needs to be (we’d say the same for the Black Cherry flavor), with something missing from the finish of the drink to help balance things out. But the neon green color of the liquid is a bit much and takes away from the look of the product (the red of the logo and green of the liquid make it almost look like candy). Otherwise, we can only reiterate that the squat look of the bottle, despite being unique, gives the product a smallish appearance and creates the illusion that it’s smaller than a 12 oz. bottle. Overall, this flavor seems like a good fit for the brand, but it definitely needs some refinement.
