BevNET Review: 3Lemon Sparkling Lemonade is 12 calorie diet soda, featuring only 3 grams of sugar and real lemon juice. The beverage aims to be a diet soda with zero aftertaste. How did they do? The product does have a trace aftertaste, but it's second to none when it comes to carbonated soft drinks that use a sweetener blend. Therefore, the product gets very high marks when it comes to flavor. However, the product's packaging is another story. The label design and bottle have a overwhelmingly health-food/nutrition-shop appearance to them. In our opinion, this greatly limits the product's aesthetic appeal. BevNET Review: 3Smooth is a carbonated citrus soda that has only 12 calories and 3 grams of carbs per bottle. Featuring a "smooth" citrus flavor that uses 10% lemon, grapefruit, and orange juice, this beverage's flavor lives up to the manufacturer's promise of having no aftertaste. Using acesulfame-potassium and aspartame might not be provide the marketing benefits of using sucralose, but it definitely creates a cleaner finish. The real issue with this product is in the packaging. In our tests, this product received very poor rankings when it came to visual appeal. The product was cited as looking like a drugstore diet product rather than a beverage. In our opinion, the visual appearance doesn't speak to the premium formula that's in the bottle and will likely be overlooked by many consumers. Reviewed on: 8/15/2004
