Update Information for This Brand

Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
Why can't water be juicy? Well, it can. Thanks to new Tropicana Fruit Squeeze™ - it's water that's been brightened by good things - like a squeeze of real Tropicana fruit juice. With its refreshingly sweet light taste, and only 20 calories per serving, it's like water that's so juicy. One squeeze, and you'll see.

Lime Raspberry

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 20 fl oz (591 ml) plastic
BevNET Review: Since they call this product “fruit juice water”, we were expecting something that tasted natural and, well, fruity. Unfortunately, this flavor was seriously disappointing from start to finish. First, there’s the artificial color – you can thank Blue #1 for that – which sets the tone for the artificial taste that hits your tongue as soon as you drink it. Sure, there’s 13% juice in this product, but it’s mostly apple and grape (there is also lime and raspberry juice), and it has been washed away by the flavors and artificial sweeteners. Overall, this product tastes like something that was made from a powdered mix – and that’s not a good thing.

Pink Grapefruit

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 20 fl oz (591 ml) plastic
BevNET Review: The Pink Grapefruit variety of Tropicana Fruit Squeeze is certainly drinkable and there is a nice, natural tasting grapefruit to it. However, there’s also a nasty dose of flavoring, colors, and sucralose – all of which are things that seem to contradict what this brand is all about. Given that this product is released under the Tropicana name, we think that consumers will expect a more natural taste with more juice flavor. As you can probably guess from our opening remark, this product doesn’t have that – so we think consumers will be disappointed when trying this. Regardless, we’re simply not sure what Pepsi is trying to do/prove with this product – and whatever it is, we think they’ve missed the mark in execution.

Summer Lemon

Product Type:Water: Enhanced; Container: 20 fl oz (591 ml) plastic
BevNET Review: Summer Lemon is the best flavor in the Tropicana Fruit Squeeze lineup. The product, which, for the most part, actually has a fruit flavor that covers the sucralose, is actually somewhat enjoyable. It’s still very noticeable that the product is a diet one, and that’s really our biggest complaint about this product. Still, it’s not a terribly exciting or innovative product, aside from the fact that they’ve taken a juice brand into the “enhanced water” category. Packaging for the lineup is simple and generic, which is more or less on par with other single serve entries that Tropicana has made to date. Overall, this is one of those brands that will probably sell well in some places, such as food service, but it’s hard to imagine that this brand will really go anywhere, especially once Pepsi dials back the marketing support for the brand.
