Product Type:Tea: Alternative; Container: 750ml Glass
BevNET Review: Using a mixture of carbonated water, white grape juice, lemon juice, pineapple juice, peach juice, spices, herbs, sea salt, and tea (green, black, and white), the flavor of Twelve is something that unique and original. We'd say that it's most similar to a sparkling juice, with pineapple being the most dominant flavor. Still, it's much lighter in body, and includes secondary notes of tea and spice. Honestly, we have mixed feelings on this product. On the one hand, the flavor is unique and enjoyable, but on the other hand, the large format seems impractical and the name, Original, provides no description of what youre getting into. Visually, the packaging is striking, but, at least from afar, it could be mistaken for a bottle of wine. The ultra-modern look is nicely executed, but it might alienate some types of consumers and on-premise locations. Finally, there's the name, which implies (through the tag line noon to midnight) that this product is meant to be served in the afternoon or evening. That seems like a missed opportunity: this product's juice and tea flavor would be great in the morning as well. Overall, very nicely executed flavor and design, but the target audience for this type of product seems somewhat limited. Reviewed on: 2/14/2011
