While not-from-concentrate lemonade certainly isn’t a new concept, it’s a very enjoyable one nonetheless. And Uncle Matt’s Lemonade is a very well-executed interpretation of it, starting with the 11 percent USDA Organic lemon juice base that it uses. In addition to lemon juice, the product contains water, lemon flavor, and sugarcane juice. This results in a balanced flavor that’s about as close to homemade as you’ll find in a bottle. Packaging is a 59 oz. plastic bottle with a rather simple stick-on label. The label looks somewhat amateurish (like a small step above what you’d find at a roadside farmer’s market), but we think that this reinforces rather than hurts its wholesome, homemade look. However, it will be interesting to see how this product is priced and whether or not it can compete with store and/or larger national brands (who are likely to be cheaper). Overall, it’s a very enjoyable product that, assuming the price isn’t outrageous, is definitely worth picking up.
