BevNET Review: As far as flavor goes, Diet US Energy does not disappoint. The flavor is light yet sweet and has a refreshing fruit-like taste to it. Fortunately, they've used a blend of ace-k and sucralose, so the product doesn't suffer from any harsh artificial sweetener aftertastes. As for the can, we like it -- but in several of our consumer tests the product was mistaken for a beer can (due to the size and silver appearance). Not necessarily a bad thing, but useful feedback nonetheless. Overall, this is a good entry into the diet energy drink category -- it's one of only a handful of energy sugar free energy drinks that might actually pass for the regular version.Reviewed on: 8/28/2003

BevNET Review: US Energy Drink Series II is an excellent improvement over the original US Energy Drink. In our opinion, this product is one of the best energy drinks out there. The packaging is very eye catching -- it has a very slick black and gold design with a "biker" theme to it. As for the flavor, the citrus taste is quite refreshing and has that soda-like flavor that we're seeing more and more. We like this much better than the medicinal tasting energy drinks of the past. Overall, this product definitely is a serious contender in the 16 oz energy drink category. Definitely check it out.Reviewed on: 6/16/2003

BevNET Review: First of all, we don't like the package of this product. It's bad enough that consumers have no idea what they are consuming when they drink 8oz sized energy drinks, but this is a bit over the top. Claiming that it is "scientifcally formulated to give your body the sustained energy it needs", this product contains high fructose corn syrup, taurine, caffeine, guarana, and ginkgo biloba, just like every other energy drink. In fact, we think it tastes just like every other energy drink as well. It's palatable, but has a certain finish that isn't very refreshing. This is just another me-too tasting product in a big can.
