Venom Energy Drink: Black Mamba

BevNET Review: Black Mamba is a sugar and sucralose sweetened variety. The drink has a rather sweet flavor and 120 calories per serving (2 per 16.9 oz bottle) which is reminiscent of the "classic" energy drink flavor. There are notes of caffeine and sugar, which are followed by a berry style flavor. There's an interesting bite at the end of the drink, which appears to be the combination of caffeine, sucralose, and some sort of spiced flavor. All in all, it's an enjoyable flavor, although it borders on being too sweet. Packaging is a 16.9 oz aluminum bottle with a screw top, which offers the convenience of being resealable as well as the pleasing aesthetics of the aluminum bottle. Venom is a nice looking brand, especially on this bottle, but the "black mamba" name is confusing rather than cool or useful. We'd prefer something that speaks to what's inside the bottle. Overall, a decent mainstream entry.

Tastes like cough syrup

Why is "classic energy drink flavor" a good thing? It tastes like cough syrup. If you like that, you may enjoy this. Personally I'd rather drink something that goes down a bit smoother like Amp. There are some good points: It is cheaper than the other brands and the can design is utterly brilliant. I think this drink is better than monster or red bull, but we are talking about beverages and taste is king and on that point I would not recommend it.

My favorite energy drink.

This is my favorite energy drink. Great taste, great energy blend, and awesome bottle. The only thing they could change would be to create a less sweet and more tangy version.

Love this stuff

I used to hate energy drinks they always had the crappy after taste, then I found Venom and can't get enough. I buy out the store whenever they have it in fear that they wont restock. Love the bottles too.

Awsome

I was in San Fransico over the thanksgiving Holiday and they were giving Black Mamoba away on the street.they gave me 6 bottles to try. i own a martial Arts place in sacramento and gave them to some of my students to try. They liked it very much. Where can i get some more. it's a great drink. Thanks much. One On One Martial Arts

ive tried em all..

i never liked energy drinks they always tasted like pure YUCK! but as i am a truck driver sometimes i do need some energy and coffee is always hot..i want something cold..so i set out on a mission to try every energy drink ive come across from new york to southern georgia from mississippi to wisconson the only one ive found that tastes like somethinng i would drink to quench my thirst is VENOM. other drinks have a medicine kinda taste, you know the taste you try to keep from tasteing..ive dumped a few out bc they were so bad..why do people buy those nasty mons... or redb... or jol. or rok* the answer is venoms dont exsist everywhere..ive only been able to find them in random pilots and the price changes from 2 for 4 to 1 for 3 come on sell them 50 cents cheaper than any competitor for 6 months and then up the price to match and no one will drink another energy drink besides VENOM!

omg i love this energy drink it is so extrem and kool tasting and sour and i have heard that the president is going to take them away ok he can but if it is true and once people all over hear of this and that they love them oh there whont be any thing 4 her to take it well all be gone or they well protest but i am a fan of venom and that is all
