All I drink is vernors and dr pepper this is not like all of your dry Ginger ales this is a vernors but it seems only local michiganders like it

Love it or Hate it...

I happen to hate it. It has a very odd musky/spice taste, which I find to be gross. Growing up in Michigan, I was under the impression that all ginger ales had this taste, so I never bothered to try them. It wasn't until I was around 15 that I tried a can of Canada Dry and realized that ginger ale wasn't so bad after all. In fact, these days my favorite soft drink is Ale-8-one, which is a very delicious ginger ale type drink. Unfortunately, you can't buy it in Michigan. Hey Kentucky, wanna trade drinks? ;)

Vernors gov project

i have been working with my "group" if u want to cal them that the reason why is because a select group member choose not to work very dilegntly, but anyways... our project is on the beverage called Vernors. and i recently had to do some first hand "reaserch" on this amazing concoction . all i can say is that this pop, as we say in Michigan, is absolutely the best and most tantalizing pop ever created in the history of mankind.......6 out of 5 starts here folks!!

Perfect beverage in the following situation...

It's mid-November and my very pregnant wife is lamenting the fact that she won't be able to enjoy the beverage of choice at my family's upcoming holiday get-together (champagne). Then there's the fact that she's a Michigan girl and we've lived in Ct for years. Finally, though not unbearable, her stomach does sometimes need occasional help settling down, these days. For a non-alcoholic, nostalgia-satisfying, stomach-settling, great-tasting beverage, Vernor's can't be beat.

Reality Check

Unfortunately most of the world does not realize that Vernor's Ginger Ale is THE ginger ale...it was the precursor to all the sodas/pops that later dubbed themselves "ginger ale" but in fact are ginger ale in name only. For anyone who grew up in Michigan where Vernors was synonymous with "Ginger Ale", it is the only beverage with a legitimate claim to the title. A cream ale, a frozen Vernors, a ham baked in Vernors, and so many other recipes are an integral part of the lives of those who know and understand true ginger ale...the others are imitators and poor ones at that!

Simply the Best!

I grew up in Michigan, so maybe I'm bias. I've tried Canada Dry, Schweppes, and Seagram. I liked them all, but Vernor's is the original, what ginger ale is supposed to taste like. This is how ginger ale was originally made, so don't be fooled by the rest. It's the perfect cure for an upset stomach too. I may drink other ginger ale, but nothing will replace my Vernor's!

Ginger Soda

I really like the unique taste of Vernors. This is one that I would drink ice cold instead of mix it. It helps settle an upset stomach and is easy to drink when you are sick. I also like it on a hot day while I work on the computer.

Great soda - a MUST try!

I grew up drinking this at my grandfather's house in Sprinfield, MO. It is best served near freezing in a can (I agree it goes flat too fast in a 2-liter). The absolute BEST way is to try a Vernor's float! Vernors is not light like Canada Dry - it isn't a mixing gingerale. It is a sweet, tingly ginger ale worth a try from everyone!

Vernors

Vernors has been a family favorite for 60 years (My family is from Detroit). WARNING: Do NOT by the 2 liter bottles if you care anything about a quality experience! Every time I have bought a two liter bottle, the whole thing goes flat in a matter of minutes. The only way to have vernors is out of the 12 oz. can at nearly freezing.
