BevNET Review: Made with 100 percent montmorency cherry juice from concentrate, this variety of Very Cherre is as straightforward as it gets when it comes to cherry juice. The product is very tart, with a cherry flavor that, at least for most consumers, will be reminiscent of cherry pie. While that means that the cherry flavor is very clean, it might make some folks wonder just how healthy this product is. And that’s ultimately the biggest question for cherry juice -- how do you sell it as a healthy product? For Very Cherre, they at least have a beautiful 11 oz. glass bottle to help lure consumers in. It’s almost entirely round, with the exception being the bottom and a side panel to help it fit nicely in your hand. That said, this product is thoughtfully designed with both form and function addressed properly. BevNET Review: Of all the flavors in the lineup, this one is likely to be the most immediately marketable thanks to the existence of POM’s Cherry flavor (a pomegranate and cherry blend, just like this one). In that sense, this product looks and feels very familiar, with a tart cherry and pomegranate flavor and an attractive round bottle. Leading with the cherry juice instead of the pomegranate juice is probably going to be an uphill battle, but the uniqueness and visual appeal of the glass bottle will certainly give it a fighting chance. BevNET Review: Mixing cherry and blueberry, Very Cherre’s Tart Cherry Blueberry is a 100 percent juice mixture of cherry, grape, and blueberry juices. The blueberry flavor is quite strong, which, aside from giving it some variation from the other flavors, helps cut the natural tartness of the cherry juice (this is the least tart flavor of the brand). From a positioning point of view, a blueberry mixture is a question mark in terms of the product’s potential -- cranberry and pomegranate juices (which are the other blends in the line) are more established and accepted for their health benefits. The packaging, which is an 11 oz. spherical glass bottle, is the drink’s most unique attribute. It’s clean and sophisticated, while the blue cap helps it stand out from the other flavors in the line. All in all, it’s a product that does not a nice job of blending enjoyable flavor with a very impressive looking bottle.Reviewed on: 8/29/2011
