BevNET Review: VIP All Access Energy comes in an “Extreme Acai” flavor that promises to be crisp, clean, and refreshing, but without the “traditional taste” (we’re not exactly sure what that means). With a name like “Extreme Acai,” we were fully expecting the product to be heavy on the acai flavor. Instead, this overly sweet product has a very tart berry flavor that tastes more like candy than acai. Plus, the liquid is bright yellow, which again was not what one expects to find inside this can. Aside from the sweetness, it’s not bad. Then again, we don’t really see what this product’s competitive edge is as far as the formulation goes. On the outside, they’ve done a good job with the aesthetics of the can, delivering a polished looking logo and type treatment that has a vibe that would fit well inside of a night club. The name “Extreme Acai” should be changed to something that more accurately describes the product. Overall, a product whose strongest feature is in its aesthetics, but falls a bit short in flavor and uniqueness. Reviewed on: 9/14/2009
