BevNET Review: Virgil's has always been a brand that sets the bar high in terms of quality and flavor -- this is no exception. Featuring a rich, full bodied flavor this product is as good as any black cherry soda we've ever sampled, if not better. The touch of cream flavor gives it a richness that gives this product a unique twist that you won't find elsewhere. As for the packaging, well it's admittedly a bit tired as it hasn't changed in years, but it still does its job of creating a super-premium image in the consumer's mind. Overall, a very well done line extension that is one of the few good CSD entries that we've seen this year.

I LOVE Virgil's Black Cherry Cream Soda. I'm not a "pop" or "soda" drinker often, but I'm in love with this stuff. I often save a bottle and savor it when relaxing at home. It's such a treat.

I agree with a lot of other reviews. I've not been such a fan of virgil's root beer, a little too spicy for me. but the cherry cream soda is ****in deliciousness.

This is another high quality entry. It is very sweet, and the cherry flavor added is a unique flavor. Definitively not the same cherry flavor you will find in every other cherry soda. It also has a really great aroma.

Finest Kind

This is a really fabulous "fruit cream." The flavor, like Virgil's regular cream, is extremely intense with a clean mouthfeel, but not quite as sweet; this is probably due to the exclusion of unrefined sugar which gives the plain cream a mild caramel/molasses finish (which could actually have been interesting here--in fact, a blast of bitter chocolate would really be fab). The top-quality, all-natural ingredients (including unbleached sugar--no HFCS) and flavorings contribute to a soda that's more suited to sipping than to quaffing--almost like an unsyrupy liqueur (sans alcohol, of course). As previously stated, I think Virgil's Root Beers are overpriced and WAY overrated, but the creams are at the head of their class. Definitely beats any of the Stewart's "fruit creams" hands down.
