BevNET Review: Vis Viva is a new low calorie energy drink that's fortified with 15% juice and the company's proprietary blend of functional ingredients (trademarked as "IQZOL"). As far as the proprietary blend, the ingredients themselves aren't anything that we haven't seen before, although they are using Essentra, another trademarked and GRAS approved ingredient. Let's move on to the rest of the product. Inside the can, the low calorie ace-k and sucralose sweetened blend has a reasonably refreshing raspberry flavor. There's not a ton of it, but it certainly helps the product achieve a somewhat natural fruit flavor. The finish is a bit bitter, but it's on par with other low calorie energy drinks. On the outside, the 12 oz slim can looks polished and attractive, with a brand that will likely skew to a more mature audience than competing products. What we really appreciate is that it's a low calorie drink that doesn't have that "diet" look to it. Overall, decent taste and a nice looking package should help this drink start off on the right foot.
