Vita 500 Energy Drink

BevNET Review: Vita 500 is an energy that -- get this -- has no caffeine. Instead, it's loaded with a mega dose of vitamin C (2080% RDA) as well as taurine and other B vitamins. They've flavored it with apple juice among other things, which gives the drink a taste that's quite pleasant. However, they've also added some artificial sweeteners (the drink still has 155 calories and 35g of sugar per can) which give the drink a somewhat strange aftertaste. Packaging is decent, but looks a bit sterile compared to competing drinks -- it certainly doesn't jump out at you. Overall, it's about average in flavor and appearance, but we think the lack of caffeine is the wrong way to differentiate.Reviewed on: 2/22/2008
