Compared to what we recall of Vita Coco’s “Coconut Water with Tangerine” (which this flavor replaces), this orange-flavored variety has a bit more pop when it comes to fruitiness. However, it still has plenty of coconut water flavor, with the orange there to add another dimension (and one that is very familiar) to the product. Vita Coco has done a really nice job of achieving the right balance of flavor, with the product tasting very smooth from start to finish. From a positioning point of view, this seems like a very logical and marketable blend, but it certainly isn’t as “tropical” (which is what the brand is about) as some of their other flavors. Visually, this flavor looks and feels very much like the rest of the Vita Coco line. It’s easy to follow their color coding system for each flavor, while the tropical beach image and fruit image definitely add to the appeal. Overall, another very well executed flavor for Vita Coco.
