The Kona Mocha flavor of Wai Koko Coconut Infusions is a blend of coconut water, evaporated cane juice (sugar), coffee and cocoa. It’s very much a mocha latte-flavored drink, with the notable exception being dairy. Still, the coconut water gives it a slightly creamy flavor, so it’s honestly not something that’s immediately obvious. As far as coffee-flavored coconut waters are concerned, this is definitely a good one, with just the right amount of cocoa and coffee being added to achieve a well-balanced and smooth flavor. Furthermore, we like the smallish size, which, at 80 calories, is a nice option. Visually, this variety’s brownish color palate is certainly the most unique looking of the bunch. For this flavor, as well as the rest of the line, the company has opted to avoid visual cues for the flavor. Otherwise, we’re still fond of the Hawaiian theme -- it definitely fits nicely with the Kona coffee motif. However, it does raise the question of whether or not it uses Kona coffee. Overall, a nice product that could only be made better with some improvement to its messaging.
