BevNET Review: Warrior Energy’s White Tea Energy Drink is, as the name suggests, an energy drink that derives both its flavor and functionality from tea. In this case, they use an all natural blend of yerba mate and white tea extract, which, along with maca root and cordyceps extract, make up the proprietary energy blend. The non-carbonated formulation is heavy on the white tea, with a pleasant flavor that’s been moderately sweetened with agave and stevia. What’s most notable about this drink is that it weighs in at 30 calories per can, which, given the sweet flavor and lack of sweetener aftertaste, is extremely impressive. It’s definitely one of the best tasting tea based energy drinks that we’ve ever consumed -- even better than Warrior’s own Green Tea Energy, which was just a bit too sweet for our liking. On the outside, there’s some work left to be done, starting with the hard-to-recognize graphics on the front panel. Plus, the aggressive look seems at odds with the more wholesome ingredients inside the can. Overall, we think that this product could have potential if they can improve the can – we definitely wouldn’t change a thing about the all natural formulation that's inside of it.Reviewed on: 5/11/2011
