Xenergy is the official energy drink of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The first energy drink created by a nutrition company, Xenergy is sugar-free, with zero calories and only 2 grams of carbs. Fortified with vitamins, Xenergy's all-natural flavors provide a consistent supply of energy, sans the crash inherent with most other energy drink brands. Flavors include Cherry Lime, Cran Razz, Mango Guava and Blu Pom.

Frostberry Blast

BevNET Review: Xyience Frostberry Blast is a limited edition zero calorie energy drink that is sweetened with a blend of sucralose and ace-k. The product has a mild citrus berry flavor and minimal sweetener aftertaste, which makes for a very drinkable product. Frostberry Blast has 208mg of caffeine as well as b-vitamins, guarana and ginseng extract. One surprising thing about what's inside the can is that the liquid pours clear. Given the flavor name and blue accent colors on the can we were expecting a blue colored liquid. The black 16 oz. can is a natural fit for the positioning of this product as an energy drink -- it's very obvious what it is. The can features a UFC fighter front and center under the Xyience bar code logo as well as two blue circles encasing the word “xenergy.” Not to be forgotten is the “Official Energy Drink” of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) call out on the bottom front panel, which will certainly help with those consumers who are UFC fans. Overall, Frostberry Blast is a nice tasting zero calorie energy drink and a solid addition to the Xyience lineup. Reviewed on: 12/14/2011

Cherry Lime

BevNET Review: Xyience's latest flavor to be added to their line of 16 oz. energy drinks is Cherry Lime. Like the other flavors, this one is a zero-calorie sugar free formulation. The flavor is very palatable, with a sweet cherry taste that's been kissed with a touch of lime flavoring at the end. It drinks very much like a diet CSD, which makes it an easy product to pick up. From an energy point of view, the product has some kick, relying on a standard looking cocktail of energy ingredients. Packaging fits with the rest of the Xyience Xenergy line, but we think that they need to do more to differentiate the flavors from one another. Further on that point, there's just too much on the front of the can -- your eye doesn't quite know where to go. Overall, great taste and kick, but some evolution to the packaging design would be nice.Reviewed on: 4/10/2009

Pink Lemon

BevNET Review: Xenergy's Pink Lemon flavor has a pleasant fruit taste to it, which was certainly unexpected from this zero-calorie formulation. It's crisp and clean, with minimal energy or aftertaste to it. Overall, it drinks like a pretty pleasant tasting CSD. Then again, it's this same taste that might undermine its perceived functionality. A decent product, but nothing overly original.Reviewed on: 7/17/2007

Mango Guava

BevNET Review: Of the three next additions to the Xenergy line, this was our favorite. It starts out with a pleasantly fruity aroma that is dead-on for mango. From there, the flavor of the drink is sweet, but crisp, and it has a nice vitamin finish to it. Using a blend of sweeteners (Ace-K and sucralose), the product has a natural level of sweetness with minimal aftertaste. Packaging is decent, but busy, with a lot of text cluttering up what was originally a simple and clean design.Reviewed on: 7/17/2007

Blu Pom

BevNET Review: Blu Pom has a sweeter profile than the other new flavors, which is due in part to the tart berry flavor that they've used. It's a decent tasting drink, especially for a zero calorie, sugar-free product. Blu Pom has a light amount of bite to the flavor, most notably on the tail end. Plus, we like the darker hues used on the Xenergy logo as it acts as a better complement to the shiny silver backdrop than the lighter colors used on the other flavors. Overall, a nice tasting energy drink with a good amount of kick.Reviewed on: 7/17/2007

Big Apple

BevNET Review: Xyience’s Xenergy line has always looked – and tasted – like a product that should be sold alongside vitamins and/or supplements. But their latest flavor, Big Apple, certainly has the potential to change that – at least with its flavor. As the name suggests, Big Apple is an apple-flavored energy drink that has zero calories and is sugar-free. The apple flavor is pleasant and sweet, hiding many of the additives that are present in the product. Xenergy Big Apple also has some kick – and there’s a noticeable bite to the body of this product. The packaging is classic Xyience style, which has a very specific male-oriented target audience. The packaging is a bit busy, with the industrial look of the bar codes in conflict with the Asian lettering. Still, the taste is great and, at least for the most part, the look is clean. Cran Razz

BevNET Review: The first of Xyience's two energy drinks is Cran Razz, a zero calorie energy drink sweetened acesulfame potassium and sucralose. The flavor is enjoyable, with a nice balance of refreshment and functional flavors. Cran Razz's fruit flavor is, however, a bit light, and it's not sweet enough to hide the artificial sweetener finish. Overall, it's a drinkable formula that could use a little bit of improvement in its flavor/sweetener levels. As for the can, the standard 16-ounce can is dressed relatively well, with a bright red circle in the center of the can that immediately tells you what flavor this product uses. We don’t understand the use of the Japanese characters, especially since they seem to visually conflict with Xyience's barcode logo. Still, this product is one of the best energy drinks that we've ever seen produced by a supplement company and we feel that it has found a happy medium of functionality without appearing pharmaceutical in nature. Improvements in flavor would push this product over 4 stars.Reviewed on: 8/7/2006

Clear

BevNET Review: While the name probably doesn't clue you in as to what this product will taste like, you'll figure it out as soon as you smell it's effervescent citrus aroma. It's quite a pleasant flavor, in fact, drinking like a diet citrus CSD and going down much easier than the Cran Razz. However, that doesn't mean that we think that this flavor will sell better; the name "Clear" isn't likely to lure in consumers or wet their appetite. We'd recommend modifying the name so that the flavor traits are more obvious. Otherwise, we wouldn't change a thing about the formulation. The light, sweet flavor is well done and even hides a good amount of the sweetener aftertaste. The outside of the can has a lot going on -- and one's opinion of it will really depend on which angle it is being viewed from. Our feeling is that the side with the square panels is better than the side with the circle logo. Part of it is the symmetry of this design, but it also doesn't hurt that this side is less text heavy.Reviewed on: 8/4/2006
