BevNET Review: Black Cherry Yacht Club was our favorite flavor of the lineup. It features a mild black cherry flavor that has just a touch of tartness to the finish. We think it's the type of flavor that would complement food (like a nice pizza or a sandwich) quite nicely. While you won't find any glitz in this product's appearance, it certainly delivers with flavor. On the other hand, the lack of glitz could be a problem as the product does little to stand out in the competitive sea that it is entering. Reviewed on: 7/2/2007

BevNET Review: Yacht Club’s Cream soda is a decent quality CSD that features a nostalgic New England look to it. It uses cane sugar as the sweetener, which will certainly satisfy certain drinkers, but on the other hand, it doesn't really have a very creamy flavor. Instead, it's rather dry, which might be what the manufacturer intended, but it's not really what we look for in a cream soda. Packaging is pretty much on par with other products in the category, with a paper label wrapping a stock 12 oz. glass bottle. Overall, it's good, but not overly exciting.Reviewed on: 7/2/2007

BevNET Review: Being in New England we were, of course, excited to see a New England style birch beer as part of the Yacht Club lineup. It features a mild wintergreen aroma, which flows through to the mild body of the beverage. Using cane sugar is a plus, giving the product an added crispness to the finish. However, we'd like to see this product be just a tad sweeter than it currently is. Right now, there's just not enough flavor to this product. Reviewed on: 7/2/2007

BevNET Review: While Yacht Club's Root Beer lacks the rich and creamy body that is so common in today's premium root beers, it delivers an enjoyable flavor that's crisp and sweet. There's a slight note of licorice flavor to the finish, which certainly gives it a leg up against the mainstream players. Then again, we're not really sure what a Yacht Club has to do with root beer. After all, isn't a Yacht Club more of a Bloody Mary crowd? Be that as it may, Yacht Club's Root Beer is still a delicious product that we'd try again. BevNET Review: Strawberry is always a tough flavor for a CSD to properly pull off and, unfortunately, Yacht Club is no exception. The flavor is quite artificial tasting and lacks the right level of sweetness, which results in a bitter finish to the product. Plus, there's the red color, which has a candy like color that's way too bright for our liking. Overall, we'd drop this flavor and add something more mainstream, such as a citrus flavor.
