Chai High is one of the more interesting flavors of the bunch, although it’s not clear from the packaging as to whether or not this product includes raw ingredients. The flavor includes coconut milk, almond milk, water, toasted fennel, cinnamon, cardamom, and pea protein (an up and coming vegan source of protein). Also, there is some form of sweetener in this product, but they do not list what it is. The product is complex in flavor, with the base of almond milk having a slight coconut flavor from the coconut milk. From there, sweetness and spice take over, delivering a nice riff on the classic chai tea flavor. However, there’s something about this product that doesn’t taste quite right, as it has a slightly gummy mouthfeel; almost as if they’ve added an unlisted emulsifier to it. Regardless of the source, it’s something that should be addressed. Visually, our feedback is the same as the other flavors: clean up the front label and try and make it more aesthetically appealing. It’s sorely lacking in that department right now. Overall, a decent flavor, but it’s certainly in need of refinement.
