I haven't had soda in over 2 years. I don't drink or eat sugar and use to love Diet Pepsi. Then I found out about how dangerous aspartame and other artificial sweetners and colors are.....so I stopped drinking it. I've really missed having soda occasionally and was so happy when I found Zevia. The cola taste so much like Diet Pepsi - I am amazed. It is actually better because it doesn't have any after taste. I will be stocking up on these for sure!!
To me, Zevia tastes VERY similar to Pepsi (which I don't consider a bad thing). I rarely drink soda anymore, and I've always hated the artificial sweetness of diet sodas. I bought this mostly because I'm interested in stevia and wondered how well it would work in soda. My expectations were low, but this stuff isn't bad. Although it's probably better for you than regular brands of soda, I wouldn't exactly call it "healthy." I won't be buying this regularly, but if I ever have a soda craving, this is definitely what I'll turn to!
It tastes like regular soda, with a few bitter notes of stevia.
Imagine my surprise when I popped the top on this and discovered that it tastes like soda! It tastes in some ways like a cheap store brand soda. It's nice not having to drink high fructose corn syrup, sugar, aspartame, sucralose, etc... I'm glad we have this choice. Unfortunately, right now it's very expensive - at least a dollar a can. Can anyone tell me where I can get it for less? I'm sure it won't be long before the big boys are offering stevia sweetened soda here in the US, but the acids and things they will most certainly be inferior from a nutritional standpoint when compared to Zevia if they act as usual.

YUCK!!!! This is awful. I would rather drink chemicals!
I was interetsed in this product when I saw it in a local health food stroe while shopping. I occasionally enjoy a diet soda but am always worried about the chemicals and unnatural aftertaste. Well I was happy to try this and took them home to chill. I opened one up a few hours later and prepared for a delicious treat.... That's the end of the dream This stuff is terrible! It has a disgusting flavor and an unbelievably bad aftertaste. I grew up in a hippy house and have always eaten things from the health food store versus the usual grocery outlet and this took me back to the 70's. It has that awful fake taste of something that you eat or drink because it is "better for you" and you simply tolerate it because you don't want to be bad. Just like the 30 years ago when tings were bad. Forget it!!! Quit trying to pretend it is good. It isn't. Just like carob isn't as good as real chocolate. This is bad!! BAD BAD BAD! I had two friends try it and they also found it repugnant. If you want a drink with bubbles try sparkling water you wont have the urge too spew it up!
Finally, a diet soda that isn't filled with chemicals!
The reviewer for this website stated that he/she wished Zevia tasted more "natural" -- I couldn't disagree more. I loved Diet Coke and was really unhappy giving it up but I couldn't take all the artificial additives and chemical sweeteners anymore, so I'm THRILLED that Zevia cola tastes more like a mainstream, corporate diet soda rather than some awful natural foods concoction brewed up by a bunch of post-hippies in the back of their VW bus.
Out of the three Zevia flavors, the cola is my favorite by far. It doesn't boast as strong a flavor punch as Diet Coke does, but it comes close enough to make me one happy, artificial-ingredient free camper!

I LOVE this Cola!
I used to drink Diet Coke, but with my thyroid problems, my friend suggested cutting out all artificial sweeteners. Hard to do when you are so dependant upon caffeine!! Anyway, I switched to Zevia Cola and I LOVE IT!!! Same "kick" of caffeine and a great light taste. I think the review from this sight is dead wrong!
Zevia is my new favorite soda. Not being able to drink regular soda, it gives me my tasty drink back! It has a bold taste and I have tons around all the time! I would say if you want a soda that is better for you and has a great taste, try Zevia!

When did you try Zevia?
I buy Zevia at PCC in Seattle. I noticed that the flavor has changed. The store clerk confirmed it. It even better now and everyone should try it again if they haven't already! It is very close to Diet Coke (which I love) but without Aspartame or Sucralose. Truly a unique product and I love it.

Soda Junkie Finds Healthy Alternative
One of the major obstacles in my quest to eat healthier has been my constant craving for soda. It's one of the few things I seem completely unable to do without. After briefly switching to Diet Soda, I noticed almost immediate results in terms of weight. After reading the mountains of statistics regarding aspartame and its ilk's links to cancer and other health issues, however, I decided a little eight loss wasn't worth the risk. Zevia has filled the niche perfectly and given me a healthy alternative. The Cola flavor is comparable or even superior to any Diet Cola I've tried. I've been ordering this stuff two cases at a time!!
As a former Diet Coke addict for 25 years, I was certain my transition to a healthier lifestyle meant I had to give up my soda habit forever. What a lose-lose choice: ingest dangerous excitotoxins like aspartame and splenda, or compromise with sugar/calorie-laden "regular" Coke whose taste I hate and which are far too expensive in terms of both my weight and my conscience.
Thanks to the folks at Zevia, caring for my health no longer has to mean sacrificing taste OR spending my hard-earned money to support a company whose politics I loathe! I have been ordering online for six months now and let me tell you, this stuff is so good I have been HAPPY to pay shipping to get it all the way to Southern California. I can't put a price on having my soda back.
The cola flavor is GREAT! It has a subtle, almost maple-like taste and is milder than either regular or Diet soda. Just the right amount of carbonation. I drink Stevia in my coffee, so the aftertaste is even less noticeable to me than with powdered Stevia. I don't know what the original reviewer was thinking, but I wholeheartedly disagree with his or her assessment of this product. I am a RAVING fan of Zevia!
The people at Zevia have been nothing short of wonderful to deal with. I can't wait until New Year's as some of my local stores are finally going to be carrying my favorite drink.

Fabulous alternative to artificial sweetners
This beverage is fabulous. My whole family enjoys it and each a different favorite (2 for cola, 1 for twist and 1 for orange). The taste is great with no aftertaste. My son with diabetes is thrilled with the cola as he doesn't tolerate splenda or aspartame. We purchase our product at the PCC - a local western washington Co-op.

Best Natural Cola Around
As someone who changed my diet to include whole foods and cut out preservatives and chemicals, I still found myself missing the carbonated beverages. When I looked at other natural sodas, they were still loaded with calories, and not worth it. I came across Zevia, and was blown away by the taste, lack of calories and minimal caffeine. With a squeeze of lemon, I feel like I am drinking a regular cola. AND, I know I am not putting something bad into my body. I LOVE IT!

Great New Product
I am so happy to have a new diet soda that does not contain artificial sweetners! I am relieved to feed my "diet coke" habit with something safe and delicious! I always worried I was giving myself brain cancer with all the artificial products - now I can drink guilt free!

Zevia Cola
I like the product, especially over ice. Has a cola taste, although it is "muted" as compared to the strong sweet tastes of regular and diet Pepsi or Coke. I don't really notice much of an aftertaste. Because of many food and food additive sensitivities, Zevia is about the only cola drink I can have. My only complaint is that it is not locally available and I have to pay shipping for it.
Zevia Cola is the best thing to come around in decades! It is delicious - better than any diet soda I've ever tried. Best of all, it gets there without aspartame or Splenda - two chemicals with a lot of health problems. I was buying Zevia at a regional health food chain - PCC. It sold out! How's that for a product the reviewer says needs a lot of help? Not.
