This flavor of ZICO Premium Chilled Juice blends coconut water, pineapple juice, and mango puree, but then also includes added natural flavors, citric acid, and ascorbic acid. Making the jump from the pure coconut water, which has only one ingredient, to this one is slightly confusing in that they aren’t completely like products (the Orange Juice variety even adds monk fruit to the mix). Still, it’s a pleasant tasting product, albeit one that relies heavily on the flavor of pineapple and mango juices. The base coconut water is more of a tertiary flavor, adding a subtle saltiness to the finish and helping to keep the other fruit flavors from being too sweet. All in all, it’s a nice tasting product, but one that can already be found in other products. Packaging is a 1.5L screw top carton that is being sold in the refrigerated juice section. It’s the same package that was previously used on ZICO’s short lived smoothie line. We can say that the design of this particular product is more appealing than what we saw in the past, but we’re still not sold on being in the refrigerated section with an aseptic package (which technically doesn’t need refrigeration to prevent spoilage). Lastly, we wish that they’d simplifying the visual treatment of the flavor name. It currently wraps four lines and it’s difficult to read. Overall, an enjoyable product, but it feels like it needs refinement.
