It's another in the line of pleasant but forgettable sodas that Zota seems to be so good at producing.
The first surprise is the color: Put up in brown bottles, I expected a brown root beer, but instead the soda that poured out was a dark amber (more like a cream soda.) The glass topped with a thin and short-lived head and there were hints of herbs and vanilla in the aroma.
But the flavor was disappointing: a strong backflavor of green tea (good) overlaid with a weak mixture of root beer and vanilla cream soda (bad.) This is a root beer that can't quite make up it's mind what it wants to be.
