Update Information for This Brand

Manufacturer's Brand Overview: [Edit]
We take pride in the manufacturing process, ingredients and packaging we use at Durango Soda Company Inc. Each batch is handcrafted in small quantities with fresh Rocky Mountain water from the San Juans. Our finished product is then transferred to glass bottles - a superior container to aluminum or plastic for both taste and the environment. So twist one off and drink it down. It's the real deal.

Creamy Root Beer

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12 oz Glass
BevNET Review: Zuberfizz’s Root Beer is a good one, with a creamy body that has notes of licorice and winter green. It’s sugar sweetened and has a clean finish, but otherwise this naturally and artificially flavored product has an ingredient set that looks very much like countless other root beers out there. And that’s really how we’d summarize the flavor of this product – good, but not original. Branding is conceptually good, but flawed in execution, with too many colors, fonts, and graphic elements competing for the eye. In addition, the glued on paper label feels cheap and is poorly applied, which ultimately gives off the vibe of this product being lower quality than it is.

Key Lime Cream Soda

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12 oz Glass
BevNET Review: Zuberfizz’s Key Lime Cream Soda is a bit of a misnomer. Why? Well, there’s nothing inside this bottle that tastes reminiscent of Key Lime pie. Instead, the green liquid tastes just like a lollipop, which is something that’s less than enjoyable and certainly has no business being part of a line of sodas labeled “classic draft soda.” Whether this type of flavor was once served on draft or not, it’s something that seems unlikely to sell as a nostalgic style soda in this day and age. Overall, we’re not fans of this product and it’s a flavor that could likely be replaced with something a bit more marketable (black cherry?).

Coco Fizz

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12 oz Glass
BevNET Review: Definitely one of the better flavors of the Zuberfizz lineup. The chocolate flavor is smooth and creamy, kind of like a chocolate flavored cream soda. Sweetened with sugar, this product has a light feeling in the mouth and a crisp finish. On the outside, they’ve kept the design of the 12 oz. bottle pretty minimalist, with a big “CocoFizz” logo and the words “chocolate soda” catching the eye quickly. While we like the name Cocofizz (it’s a memorable one), we’re not really sure what the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory logo is all about. Overall, they’ve done a nice job on the product inside the bottle and, despite average label design, this is the best flavor of the brand.

Vanilla Cream Soda

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12 oz Glass
BevNET Review: As the label promises, this product definitely tastes like “classic draft soda.” Zuberfizz has done a nice job of creating a product that’s rich and creamy, but also has a crisp and clean finish. While it’s good, it’s not overly original tasting, with this exact (or at least extremely similar) flavor being available in countless microsoda brands. From a packaging point of view, the 12 oz. bottle and its paper label look decent, but not overly professional, thanks to a busy label design and a glued on label that is less than perfectly applied. That being said, Zuberfizz’s Vanilla Cream Soda is good, but could definitely be improved upon.
