Sparkling Ice maker Talking Rain has announced the hire of Brian Kuz as its new CMO. Kuz’s career spans over 30 years with CPG companies. Kuz was most recently the Global Head of Trade Marketing and Insights at Red Bull GmbH in Austria.
The new executives are Karen Gifford, Califia’s first ever Chief People Officer; Jim Whitaker, Vice President Sales, Immediate Consumption (IC); Demir Vangelov, Chief Financial Officer, and Vilma Livas, Vice President, Marketing, both focused on meeting and extending Califia’s double digit growth, expanding its distribution channels and executing on the company’s strategic vision of being the food and beverage company of the future.
The Black Label Cold Brew Coffees are packaged in eye-catching 10.5 oz amber glass bottles with convenient screw caps, rather than the crown caps found on most bottled coffees; and, like all Califia products, are completely vegan, dairy-free, GMO-free, soy-free and carrageenan-free.
“We think there’s a lot of promise in how you combine these plant-based milks with coffee and then elevate the experience,” Steltenpohl told BevNET. “This is the first time I think it’s all come together in one package.”
The new Califia Nitro Cold Brew line marries creamy almond and macadamia milks with a cold brew made from a specially-curated, signature blend of direct-sourced beans, and infuses it with a jolt of nitrogen.
Adjacent to Califia Farms’ distribution center is a new nut and grain processing facility, enabling experimentation with a variety of plant-based ingredients to further enrich and enhance Califia Farms’ beverages.
