Hint water is seeking a highly motivated Area Sales Manager to join the growing Pacific Northwest Retail Sales Team in the SEATTLE, WA area. The Area Sales Manger will oversee and support all aspect of the sales cycle, including management of existing retail accounts as well as the development and the signing of new accounts. A proactive approach to all aspects of customer and distributor management is a must!


  • Act as expert on hint water in the Seattle region and be a key contributor the PNW region sales team, focusing on retail opportunities.
  • Maintain important existing accounts by developing relationships with ‘Gatekeepers’ and key stakeholders. Your goals are to sell in displays, additional skus, additional facings, cold box placement and to create other opportunities to grow hint volume throughout the region.
  • Monitor and document account status, area of opportunity and next steps using CRM tools

Initially: (strengthen)

  • Solidify existing retail accounts and develop relationships with gatekeepers within these accounts at the store level.
  • Develop relationships with local distributors and their reps.
  • Identify, pursue and execute quick wins for hint within retail including line extensions, displays and cold space.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for hint within existing retail partners in the Seattle Area.

Subsequently (acquire)

  • Gain new retail accounts
  • Build relationships with distributor reps, motivating them to grow hint within their networks
  • Identify areas of opportunity for hint within new retail partners in the Seattle Area.
  • Identify new areas of growth within retail throughout Washington

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and qualify leads- via phone, email and in person
  • Conduct store visits and customer account maintenance
  • Prepare and present sales proposals
  • Sell product into new accounts/stores
  • Sell displays into retail partners during promotional periods
  • Identify and assist with local promotional activity including in store demo’s
  • Own relationships with key accounts
  • Report back progress, successes and challenges to management in timely manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred; combination of education/ experience will be considered
  • At least 3 years of CPG sales experience (beverage preferred)
  • Prior experience with retail/wholesale accounts preferred
  • Prior experience managing a team preferred as this role could have swift growth potential
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with tenacious with follow up
  • Great attention to detail, organization and time management
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record
