Review: Vitality Shot (2015)

Pressed Juicery’s Vitality shot is a blend of turmeric, lemon and coconut water that comes packaged in a 2 oz. bottle. As one might expect with any product that’s in this format, the flavor is pretty intense, although it’s certainly not the strongest cold-pressed shot that we’ve had to date. With only three ingredients, it has a straightforward flavor profile that’s heavy on the turmeric and lemon. It’s spicy, but bitter, with the natural bitterness of the turmeric and the sour flavor of the lemon being the main things that you taste. The coconut water seems to act only as something that thins the mixture out. There otherwise isn’t much in the way of sweetness or coconut water flavor to this product. Regardless, we really like the combination that Pressed Juicery has created. It’s very flavorful, but smooth, and, unlike some of the other shots that we’ve tried in this category, you could actually sip it as the flavor is enjoyable. On the outside, Pressed Juicery has chosen a 2 oz. bottle that looks like a miniature version of the French quarter bottle that the company uses on its primary line. Much like the liquid, it’s simple and clean looking, and it does a nice job of utilizing the Pressed Juicery branding. Overall, we really like this product and feel as though it’s a successful line extension for the brand.
