Summary:               Responsible for directing and managing the selling and marketplace execution to retail customers within a defined market geography.

Job Duties:        

• Executes selling and delivery functions for a defined market geography as defined by G&J's AOP strategy. • Responsible for marketplace retail execution of selling initiatives and programs consistent with G&J AOP initiatives. • Supports a company-wide collaborative approach to business by providing recommendations on sales, marketing and retail execution initiatives that impacts the company. • Communicates organization's initiatives to assure optimal performance. • Analyzes marketplace organization and performance; reports findings as directed. • Coordinates sales distribution by establishing and assigning sales territories, quotas and goals; advises both internal and external customers concerning sales and merchandising techniques. • Analyzes and controls department expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Establishes and authorizes budget expenditures to provide the necessary merchandising tools and equipment. • Prepares and analyzes periodic sales reports including, but not limited to sales volume, package mix and potential sales. Allocates resources to maximize results. • Monitors and assesses competitive activity, market execution, and customer satisfaction. • Guides and directs departmental accountability through the Talent Management process including talent acquisition, on-boarding, and development of succession planning to maximize human capital and business performance. • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, promotions, pricing, CDA contracts, profit and loss reports, customer information, employee information (e.g., discipline, wage information) and other sensitive and confidential information. • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g., OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws). • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule, as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:    

Education: Associate's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field (two year college or technical school) or equivalent work experience. Experience: 7-10 years of proven progressive, strategic experience and success in a sales position with responsibility for management of key or large customer base. 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience

Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Certifications & Licenses: Valid Driver's License and must be insurable to operate a motor vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.

Other Requirements: Knowledge of: retail sales environment; beverage industry; proven execution strategies with key or large customers; promotional development; basic financial management; Microsoft Office Suite including Access. Skill in: executing products and promotions; external customer service; budgeting for labor and other expenses. Ability to: set strategic direction to meet outlined key measurements; work quickly and efficiently; manage multiple and competing priorities; communicate effectively with customers and other employees both verbally and in writing; adapt to change; design and deliver presentations to customers and other employees; relate to and influence customers and other employees; develop and maintain good working relationships; problem solve; delegate; operate a computer; read and interpret profit and loss statements, data and other reports.
