       Regional Sales Manager

  


Job Summary:

The regional sales manager (RSM) will be the primary contact with assigned customers and must professionally represent Big Red in all aspect of business with the customers in assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Monitor bottler execution to maximize sales

  • Extensive trade surveys to determine market penetration for Big Red brands.
  • Spot developing trends that could have either a positive impact (new packaging) or a negative impact (competitive activity) and implement programs to address.
  • Work with key customer personnel in trade to insure all Big Red national / local programs and strategies are executed to maximize sales and distribution.

Regional account calls representing Big Red brands.

  • Sell assigned customers, to develop / gain distribution of Big Red brands.
  • Monitor execution in these customers to determine effectiveness of programs.
  • Provide summary of customer representation of Big Red brands with areas for improvement.


Monitor competition in market / trade and ability of current bottler to grow in this environment.

  • RSM to determine if distributor is financially solid enough to be competitive on wholesale pricing, equipment placements, CMA payments, etc.
  • RSM to make sound business recommendations, in writing, their recommendations on how to support the bottlers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to interact and communicate with various levels of plant / trade personnel.
  • Ability to effectively plan travel to maximize sales and minimize T&E.
  • Ability to develop short and long-term business programs with measurable goals.
  • Above average computer skills.
  • Ability to analysis trade data to ensure programs are effective.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • HAVE A PASSION TO BE SUCCESSFUL!

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ Years Consumer Package goods experience preferred.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office skills.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License required and safe driving record.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must live in assigned region and overnight travel is part of the job to cover region.
