Regional Sales & Marketing Manager position with Bright People Foods. This role is responsible for selling and marketing all retail categories of products under the Mike’s Mighty Good and Dr. McDougall’s Right Foods Brands. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, a strong collaborator, has great organization and communication skills, can work independently, and is hungry to grow our trending brands.


Eastern region and some in the Midwest.

What You Will Do:

As the Eastern Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for calling on regional distributors, independent and chain grocery accounts, food service and corporate accounts and for marketing events such as trade shows for natural and specialty food products and food service. We are looking for candidates with a positive can-do attitude, a love of food and food marketing, a solid work ethic, and a keen appreciation for the high energy and integrity of the natural products industry.  This is a great position for a person who knows the Eastern Regional Market and comes to the table with an understanding of how to grow a food brand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing playbook with VP and Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Executing sales plan developed by VP and Sales & Marketing Manager for region.
  • Traveling to regional and national trade shows and consumer marketing events
  • Trade show marketing, follow-up and post-event analysis with team
  • Engage in weekly 1:1s with Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Coordinate and lead regional in-store demos and event demos
  • Communicate with the team category insights about important, needle-moving programs to provide ongoing analysis of sales plan
  • Calling on existing and new distributor and retail accounts to secure placement in prime locations
  • Developing of sales planners and presentations
  • Sell and manage to revenue and promotional trade spend budget
  • Communicate and implement price and policy changes
  • Execute new items during product launch periods in partnership with VP and Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Expand the business by securing new doors, added SKUs and merchandising programs
  • Tone Setting: Embody the Bright People Foods culture and company team values
  • Maintain excellent customer and Bright People Foods employee interdepartmental relationships 
  • Build relationships, influence, lead and train assigned brokers
  • Cultivate great relationships throughout the food industry

Job Requirements:

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree
  • Reside on the East Coast – must have a car and live near major airport
  • Strong PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Ability to work with and food broker and distributor account managers to achieve goals
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic
  • At least 1-2 years direct CPG Food experience
  • Love of food and knowledge of natural/ organic food industry
  • Capable of managing time and meeting deadlines
  • Capable of logging all sales activity on SalesForce
  • Has a home office and can work remotely and independently
  • Excellent communications skills with external customers, peers, supervisors, and internal supporting departments
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, sales calls, and meetings – approximately 50% of the time
  • Proven integrity in life/ employment and honesty in dealing with others
  • Ability to receive and respond positively to critical feedback
  • Dependable and committed to doing what it takes to get the job done
  • Occasional and event-related weekend work is required
