Lucky Clover Packaging is a fast-growing company specializing in labeling aluminum beverage cans for beverage producers nationwide and is hiring a Shift Supervisor responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse and production including a production schedule for customer orders, inbound/outbound deliveries, and production staff during assigned shift. This is a full-time, salaried position located in Sacramento, CA.

Required Qualifications

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years production or warehouse experience

  • Ability to lead, follow, and facilitate Safety/Security Policies and Procedures

  • Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer based applications

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks)

  • Ability to lift objects least 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machinery

  • Forklift experience and/or certification

  • Time management skills

  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Skill in prioritization and attention to detail

  • Strong team player and leadership skills with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines 

  • Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees

  • Ability to forecast and schedule work appropriately to meet customer deadlines

  • Experience using ERP and/or inventory management software

  • Six Sigma certifications are a bonus!

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall assigned second shift production of the Sacramento production facility

  • Coordinate production with first shift and two other warehouse locations in Pennsauken, NJ and Baltimore, MD

  • Responsible for equipment maintenance

  • Conduct random inspection of on-going production processes; report to Production Manager

  • Follow production schedule to meet customer delivery dates

  • Provide support to sales and assembly departments to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Responsible for overseeing shipments and ensure that proper packaging is used

  • Schedule all transportation of outbound shipments during assigned shift

  • Comply with the basic philosophy of helping the company to maintain a “continual improvement” culture

  • Supervise all phases of shipping and/or warehouse operations including shipping schedules, loading operations and material handling activities during assigned shift

  • Maintain inventory and product loss control, coordinate timely and accurate shipping/receiving, and ensure safety/operational guidelines are met during assigned shift

  • Ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, state and federal guidelines

  • Work with other Production Staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity of production and shipping department

  • Monitor employees’ work schedules to meet needs of business

  • Recommend improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity

  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems

  • Maintain time and shipping records as required

  • Keep work area clean and organized to ensure it is presentable at all times

  • Supervise assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, and performance of assigned shift

  • Train and instruct warehouse/production staff

Specific Duties

  • Hands on product assembly and production

  • Shipping, packaging, tracking, etc.

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, annual inventories
