Essential Roles and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts on a recurring basis, including posting monthly journal entries, completing account reconciliations, providing variance analysis and investigating discrepancies.
  • Conduct month and year end closing, reconcile and balance all accounts and review monthly journal entries.
  • Provides cost accounting expertise for the manufacturing operations.
  • Prepares P&L financial statements and analytical reports as part of the monthly reporting package.
  • Works closely with manufacturing operations to ensure accurate and timely capture of all production costs and effective analysis of production variances.
  • Prepare Inventory valuation reports monthly
  • Oversee AP and AR.
  • Prepare sales and use tax filings as required.
  • Reconcile bank account on a daily basis, post journal entries in a timely manner.  
  • Process Payroll Journal bi-weekly and accrue accordingly at Month End.
  • Produce and monitor Weekly Cashflow Report, forecast on monthly.

  • Must have strong technical and analytical skills with solid cost accounting background.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and analysis skills

    Personal Protective Equipment: Must follow requirements as appropriate for areas of the facility: hair net, beard net, disposable protective gowns, captive foot wear, ear plugs, safety glasses and gloves for extended periods of time. 
       
    Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  wet and/or humid conditions extreme temperatures (ambient, cold, hot, never constant) moving mechanical parts (high speed machinery) heavy machine equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles noise level in the facility is usually loud occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals some food ingredients contain known allergens

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management, accounting or finance
  • 4+ years finance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Syspro experience a plus.
