Lawson’s Finest Liquids is seeking a highly qualified and trustworthy individual to oversee the day-to-day and strategic financial activities of the company. The Finance and Administration Director is a crucial operational role at the heart of our business, ensuring that our financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth. This position reports directly to the company owners, and supervises the Office Manager and Office Administrator.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide sound enterprise-wide financial management, analysis, and reporting
  • Actively participate in and contribute to Lawson’s Finest leadership team with the ability to excel at both strategic and operational levels
  • Report and file taxes to federal & state agencies for production, retail, and wholesale operations
  • Manage company-wide compliance, including regulatory and licensing requirements
  • Generate and review budgets and financial reports 
  • Utilize excellent verbal & written communication skills to enable all staff to understand, plan and manage departmental budgets
  • Ensure continuity of operations of a multi-tiered business, including forecasting, cash flow management, and internal auditing
  • Develop company financial & administrative policies and provide staff training to ensure compliance
  • Manage outside accounting firm & book keeping services
  • Oversee Human Resources program and vendors
  • Oversee all insurance plans including selection and management of vendors, competitive pricing review, and utilization of insurer loss prevention programs
  • Develop and administer cost, purchasing, and internal loss control programs with an aim to improve efficiencies and reduce company costs
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Expectations:

  • Post graduate accounting or business degree (MBA, CPA) with 5+ years experience in accounting or finance OR 10+ years of relevant business experience in similar positions
  • Highly organized with strong technical skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and/or other accounting software
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and manage highly complex programs using critical decision-making skills under high levels of pressure
  • Previous supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proven ability to work on a leadership team to develop creative solutions and strategies
  • Understanding of Human Resources requirements and ability to manage HR compliance
