Summary/Objective

The Event and Promotional Specialist is friendly, outgoing and enjoys meeting new people.  You will be promoting “best in class” Dust Bowl Brewing Co. brands at your local retailers and accounts.  You will be the brand ambassador who excels in captivating an audience during in-store events, with an emphasis on brand awareness, product knowledge and great customer service skills.  The in-store promoter/events or on premise promoter is responsible for reviewing program materials, set-up and break-down of the work area, and the preparation and sampling of products on scheduled event days (if part of the event).  Some events will be promoting and sampling of our brands, some will be purely “word of mouth” promoting.  All events are planned out beforehand with great detail.

  • Travel to and from event/promotion locations.
  • Set up, break down, product preparation, prepared with all swag and needed materials.
  • Generate brand awareness and positive product impressions to increase sales.
  • Assess customers’ individual usage needs and interests in order to best recommend products.

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in an on premise/off-premise environment. Work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.

  • The employee is consistently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.  Employee must be able to work consistently in a standing position for long periods of time of up to 8+ hours.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • Part-Time
  • Flexibility in hours according to the operational business needs (Hours increase during busy times of the year and decrease during slower times of the year).
  • Day, evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
  • Travel

    This position requires up to 100% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area.

    Required Education and Experience

    Previous beer sales or similar experience.

    Preferred Education and Experience

  • Training in recent sales techniques.
  • Have working knowledge of beer and wine
  • Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    Other Duties

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Valid CA Driver License.
  • Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Pass pre-employment and drug screening.
  • Must be legal to work in the U.S.
