Revolution Brewing is seeking a Sales Analyst to help spread the revolution to the world. This person will need to have a keen analytical mind and be a passionate beer lover. The Sales Analyst’s main responsibility is to support the Director of Sales & Marketing and sales force with data analysis, consumer insights, reporting and creating presentations. The main focus will be creating / developing and maintaining reports and tools so business analytics can be performed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Lead data collection efforts for all aspects of Revolution’s sales department. Analyze data retrieved from several data stores, including VIP, IRI, Armadillo Insights, and our CRM among other sources.
Develop powerful sales presentations for our Team to present at Monthly Business Reviews, distributor/retailer meetings, Key Accounts, and Annual Business Plans.
Identify tactical sales opportunities using data and assist with developing executable plans to improve performance.
Own pricing analysis, development of pricing recommendations and managing price changes to help identify actionable opportunities for the sales force.
Build and maintain sales tools and score cards, including tracking daily rate of sale.
Run ad-hoc data analyses to serve the needs of sales, marketing, business and other internal teams, and work with all of them to construct sustainable systems that put actionable data in front of those who need it when they need it.
Help us to understand what’s already happened, but also tell us what’s likely to happen next by making quantitative projections.
Track, analyze and report on various sales metrics; monitor progress towards budget and sales goals and keep management apprised of any issues
Generate analysis of sales trends, competitive activity and market intelligence to help develop sales forecasts and the annual budget
Training and communicate to the sales team on new capabilities relating to data analysis.
Assist with the preparations for all Sales Volume Budget Reviews.
Backup the Beer Traffic Controller by monitoring weekly distributor inventory as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Bachelor’s degree, Finance, Business or Economics are preferred, plus 3 – 5 years of experience in a professional business role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Industry experience preferred.
Expertise with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level; spreadsheet creation, editing and exporting to other applications, utilizing macros and pivot tables are a required skill.
Proficiency with G Suite tools or equivalent software (MSOffice, iWork, etc).
Experience with consumer analytics services and CRM systems. VIP, iRi, and Karma Notes preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to be a self-starter who requires minimal guidance.
A strong attention to detail, be able to prioritize appropriately, and have extremely developed project management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment and have a high degree of ownership.
Knowledge of sales and financial principles.
The Sales Analyst will primarily perform work duties in an office environment, with regular trips to the production and warehouse areas.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must follow the safety procedures and policies.
