Revolution Brewing is seeking candidates for a Packaging Manager to join our fast-growing, award-winning brewery. This leadership position will lead our team of packaging professionals filling cans and kegs of our beer while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Works with Master Production Planner to coordinate the packaging schedules for the brewery.
Posts and manages weekly labor schedule for packaging team and adjust as needed to meet production schedule.
Reviews efficiency and consistency of packaging operations to determine what changes can be made to improve operations and then champion these process improvements through the organization.
Leads, develops, and holds accountable packaging team supervisors and associates.
Confirms that appropriate safety measures are taken to ensure the health and wellness of team members.
Ensures beer quality is maintained throughout the packaging process working with our QA/QC lab.
Develops and maintains SOPs for safety, CIP, and pack operations.
Measures and minimizes downtime on packaging lines via continuous improvement, preventative maintenance, and problem solving in coordination with Maintenance department.
Coordinates release of Bright Beer for packaging with Cellar team.
Responsible for ordering and inventories of all packaging materials.
Oversees all daily packaging data entry into Orchestrated Beer ERP system.
Participates in regular Quality and Production meetings to coordinate work across departments.
Records monthly inventory into Orchestrated Beer and variances.
Provides support to Shipping & Receiving, Maintenance and Brewing departments as needed.
Communicates regularly with CFO and Marketing Department on new product development rollouts.
Establishes metrics and reporting as needed to identify opportunities and drive improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
7+ years of experience in the beer industry, including 3 years of management experience.
Exceptionable organizational skills with constant attention to detail and ability to manage long-term projects
Strong verbal and written communications skills, including writing reports and managing work orders
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office; ERP system experience a plus.
Experience in beverage or food production environments preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Able to lift 50-60 lbs.
Able to climb ladders up to 20 feet
Able to work in an environment with high noise levels
Able to work with hazardous chemicals
Able to frequently duck under conveyors/equipment.
Able to climb stairs.
Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
