Monfefo is growing! In the last year, we’ve expanded down the Mid-Atlantic, through the Northeast to Maine, into every Whole Foods in the tri-state area and to California and Texas as well. We’ve tripled business in just the last year alone. We are looking for a dynamic, positive sales manager to lead our team! 

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for executing a go-to-market strategy that will drive customer loyalty, distribution growth, and topline sales by continuing and building relationships with existing and new retailers, strategic partners, distributors, and brokers. This person will be working in tandem with the leadership team at Monfefo to create sales targets and build a list of potential new customers across multiple geographies. This person will work independently to achieve these goals – often with ambiguous paths to success. 

With Monfefo’s proven success, existing customer base and current track record, there are a lot of opportunities to capture making this a very exciting opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset.


  • Existing Customers. Review current distribution/key accounts of Monfefo and create strategy/plan to manage these accounts and increase sales to existing customers

    • Call on Key Accounts in the area to ensure distribution, ordering, programming, brand familiarity, and proper visibility.

    • Managing our sampling program and training brand ambassadors

    • Develop and maintain sales contact with all major customers and new prospects. Maintain and expand existing distribution and volume sales.

    • Schedule and conduct distributor team meetings to inform and educate sales representatives of brand standards to optimize sales performance.

    • Growth Opportunity. As the business grows, you will be responsible for developing a team of junior sales people and territory managers to help further your sales efforts.

  • New Customers. Develop sales goals and new customer lists to target across the northeast.

    • Regular outreach (phone, email, in-person) to develop new leads

    • Send samples and Monfefo brand packages to elicit new business and build awareness within target accounts

    • Attend trade shows, food/bev events and conferences to build network with the goal of developing new accounts

    • Work with existing distributors to expand into new accounts in their territory

    • Create weekly progress reports for new business (leads, status, etc.)

    • Develop a system/approach for onboarding new accounts and ensuring their success in selling Monfefo

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years sales leadership experience, leading teams of sales associates in understanding the grocery, natural/specialty for naturally distributed branded products, preferably in refrigerated products.

  • Demonstrated success building a brand or brands in a high growth category.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Expertise with Excel.

  • Ability to develop an analytical sales system, sales planning tools and sales management tools from scratch to a national level.

  • Proven success working hand-in-hand with Marketing to drive sustainable brand growth.

  • Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial work ethic, integrity, initiative and “can-do” attitude.

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done for the customer through HUSTLE

  • Detail-oriented project owner, with strong attention-to-detail and a high workload capacity.

  • Strong willingness to travel to meet with customers, and work with distributors.
