Legacy Marketing is a Chicago-based, independent experiential and digital marketing agency that inspires passion for brands by engaging people through integrated live + digital campaigns. Award-winning Chicago-based experiential marketing agency is seeking a Group Account Director with proven sales, management, and client service experience. The Group Account Director will lead a team within the agency and oversee national on-premise commercial advocacy programs for a high profile premium spirits client. Position requires sales experience with a beer, liquor, or wine brand.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver dynamic, strategic and effective sales, marketing, sampling, advocacy and promotional ideas/platforms that exceed program goals
  • Lead strategy, KPI and program development, and execution of multi-faceted trade and consumer programs
  • Manage and mentor a large, dynamic, diverse account team (headquarters and field) and lead their development and growth
  • Partner with senior level clients (on the sales, marketing and field side), to create programming, drive sales, interpret data trends, and gain measurable results
  • Provide vision and leadership within the agency
  • Provide access to and knowledge of the latest trends, pop-culture and technology in credible and tangible ways that add value to agency and clients
  • Bring concepts to life in a unique way that sets us apart from other agencies and delivers beyond client expectations
  • Tap into and align consumer/customer passion points, lifestyles and interests with brand experiences
  • Inspire and gain confidence of clients and agency staff; develop strategic relationships that further the business
  • Partner with client service, creative and business development teams to identify new revenue opportunities
  • Showcase exceptional communications and presentation skills to sell in big ideas and programs and reinforce credibility
  • Develop and manage budgets; getting the most out of every dollar spent

 
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills Required:

  • Experience with beer, spirits, and on-premise required
  • Sales knowledge and background is essential, particularly within the 3-tier system
  • Passion, creativity and enthusiasm -- you must inspire passion
  • Ability to work at an extremely fast pace, juggling multiple overlapping projects, clients and deadlines
  • Strong people manager with a proven history of strategy development; flawless execution and exceptional client service
  • Agency background required, preferably in event marketing or experiential
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience, including some non-agency sales
  • Some travel and nontraditional hours required
