Anita's Yogurt is a four-year-old food startup based in Brooklyn, NY. Our yogurt is made with pure coconut milk, coconut water and 25 billion live cultures per serving. We are known for our rich, creamy texture without additives or preservatives. And we deliver health benefits like probiotics, soluble fat, potassium and lauric acid.
Demand for the product has grown exponentially. We have recently scaled up our operations to include an outside manufacturer, and seek an experienced Production Manager to maintain quality in our expanded operations and play an integral part in the growth of Anita’s Yogurt.
The Production Manager reports to the Founder and is responsible for yogurt production at the manufacturer level (and our own product development facility). The Production Manager works closely with the Plant Manager and production team to ensure product is made to spec and that the plant is operating to our standards. We are looking for someone who has the endurance, passion and resolve to take Anita’s from a local to a national product, and maintain the unmatched quality of our product in the process. The ideal candidate is ambitious, and interested in growing with the company. This is a full-time salaried position.
Other food safety certifications a plus.
Has managed a team.
Food manufacturing experience on an industrial scale.
Dairy/nondairy manufacturing experience a plus.
Prior experience scaling a business a plus.
Weekly travel required (Upstate NY, Boston, NJ) with flexible schedule necessary.
Valid driver’s license
Ability to multitask and operate under pressure.
Goal-oriented, can complete projects and deliver results on time.
Resourceful, can find a solutions in sticky situations to get the job done.

Management at manufacturer level to ensure: plant operates to code, workers are compliant, equipment used properly, product made to our specifications, bad practices do not compromise product or ingredients. Maintain communication with manufacturer management and company management to plan production, maintain and track inventory, troubleshoot problems, etc. Report non-compliance.
Food Safety- Maintain food safety records. Implement HACCP in product development facility. Manage Quality Control program and keep records.
Organization- Manage inventory, ordering. Production planning and scheduling. Keep manufacturer on schedule and delivering on time. Coordinate with sales team to ensure product is delivered properly and correctly to customers. Help with management of freight carriers and manage carrier food safety compliance.
Assist with product development- sourcing, research, development, testing, etc. Cost analyses. Share information with sales, marketing, business development, etc. as needed to launch products. Implement production of new products at manufacturer.
