With a 23-year history in Vermont and one of craft beer’s first well-known brand names, Magic Hat has rediscovered its mojo for innovation and artistic energy.  We’ve launched great new innovation, pulled from a library of great beers in our vault, and hired a new generation of theatrical, yet grounded in science, Brewers.  To support our whims and obligations, we’re continuously investing and growing and are currently looking for someone to manage our Tasting Room/Retail/Restaurant space to support our brand awareness in the local market.  We want someone who knows customer service inside and out, has a retail/restaurant background, and loves beer.  If you have experience working in a Brewery already, that’s even better.   Think you’ve got what it takes? In case you haven’t been there (and shame on you if you haven’t), our Artifactory is a combination restaurant, bar, and retail store.  The Artifactory Manager has primary responsibility for the day to day functioning of the Artifactory including staffing, working on the floor, modeling excellent customer service, managing displays and brewery tours as well as managing on premise consumption of food/drinks; retail sales; web sales; and support of on-site events.  There’s a lot more detail that goes into that but we won’t bore you with it here. 

 We are looking for someone who meets these qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years retail supervisory experience, must have direct management experience
  • Experience in the food/alcoholic beverage serving industry
  • Experience with POS and inventory systems
  • Amazing customer service skills
  • Can give examples of ways they’ve previously implemented continuous improvement
