About the Role
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to achieve short and long term maintenance objectives and overall equipment reliability and safety. Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, this role will be responsible for overall operation and preventative maintenance of facility equipment.
Essential Duties (include but are not limited to the following):
Ensure functional and efficient operation of all machinery, electrical and mechanical equipment.
Establish/follow preventative maintenance schedule for all existing equipment.
Troubleshoot and fix equipment, to eliminate downtime and maintain safety.
Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Update maintenance procedures for on-site equipment.
Identify improvement opportunities to increase equipment capability and/or uptime.
Order parts and coordinate repairs in a timely manner.
Analyze preventative maintenance data and modify work based on data.
Follow-up and check-in with managers on any maintenance concerns.
Work with outside vendors to establish maintenance and installation procedures for all equipment.
Minimum of 3 years relevant technical experience
High school diploma or GED
At least 21 years of age
Employee must regularly lift or move up to 55 pounds and is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to frequently climb steps/ladders
Proven experience in the application of OSHA standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, customers and vendors
Ability to stay organized and follow standard operating procedures
Computer proficiency with MS Office and basic data entry
Must be able to work in a fast-paced production assembly environment
3 years of experience in a food, beverage or manufacturing environment
Welding and plumbing experience
Experience using a CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) and Excel
Associate Degree or Technical Degree
