NZMP, based in New Zealand, is the global dairy ingredients and solutions brand of Fonterra.  Fonterra is a global dairy nutrition company - a co-operative owned by farming families in New Zealand and supported by 20,000 dedicated people around the world.  We are the largest dairy exporter with our products sold in over 140 countries. NZMP ingredients are sold to customers in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania and the Americas.  With support to grow the US business exponentially, we are expanding our team.  We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic sales manager with an entrepreneurial spirit!

Reporting to the VP – Dairy Nutrition, the National Sales Manager is charged with growing sustainable value and volume with new nutritional ingredients and protein customers.  The focus will be on differentiated offerings and solutions such as organic, nonGMO, and functional ingredients.  This will be achieved by identifying, prioritizing, prospecting and closing new opportunities that enable us to achieve our sales and financial growth targets.  Success in this role will require close collaboration with the sales and sales support teams. 

What we are looking for:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in new business development and solution selling in a B2B environment, preferably food ingredients.
  • Expertise in opportunity assessment and being able to manage these opportunities from concept to close. 

  • Proven success in growing sales and delivering on business growth targets.

  • Understanding of dairy, proteins and their applications would be an advantage in this role.

  • Solid expertise in negotiating value added solutions to create sustainable growth and build long term partnerships from procurement to marketing and R&D.

  • Top notch written and oral communication skills are a must.

  • Be able to champion the “Fonterra Way”, doing things to enhance our ability in achieving our vision & strategy.   • Must have Bachelor’s in Business or related food/technical disciplines.
