Our mission is to create a sustainable source of funding to help individuals recover from alcohol and drug addiction with 50% of profits supporting sobering living scholarships to give individuals leaving rehab a fresh start. The PR/Social Media Director will support the social communities and handle social content creation for CLEAN Cause as well as manage all PR. This position is all about building relationships and is equal parts creative and execution. The ideal candidate will not only be skilled in social media and PR marketing, but also possess expert knowledge and passion within the natural food and beverage industry, being able to identify key influencers. This position will focus on optimizing content and engagement to support marketing goals and KPIs, including brand building across key social platforms Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other identified platforms.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work to devise and implement a media external outreach strategic plan that increases visibility nationally.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with local and national press and influencers; you must have an established rolodex of beverage industry, retail, ecommerce and business publications

  • Cultivate, develop and maintain productive relationships with the media. Maintain current listings of media contacts

  • Create all written communications such as press releases, media pitches and advisories, fact sheets, award submissions, speaking proposals, blog posts, Q&As and related materials

  • Propose new ideas, help to drive content and offer creative ideas while staying current with trends and opportunities

  • Find opportunities to participate in thought leadership discussions by securing speaking opportunities, bylines, quotes and other engagements

  • Be a key stakeholder in the development, implementation and management of individual social platform

  • Share both organic and paid content establishing KPIs and goaled metrics

  • Own monthly social performance reporting

  • Develop a rotating 30-day calendar for social platforms, supporting sales and marketing strategies via social content

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support organizational goals involving sales and marketing initiatives working closely with our Austin and National sales teams to understand upcoming promotions, events and product launches

  • Create and acquire relevant content in various formats to support individual social platform strategies for the brand

  • Produce and design highly relevant content experiences for each targeted audiences

  • Identify and share insights about trends, feedback, and engagement through detailed weekly and monthly reports

  • Schedule photo shoots, build shot lists and arrange needed resources in regards to talent, locations and accessories to create ideal content captures

  • Managing engagement-focused budgets to support Facebook and Instagram paid boosts and ads via the Facebook Ads Manager

  • Provide community management and monitoring

  • Identify brand storytelling opportunities for social channels

  • Seek out potential award opportunities

  • Proactively plan and publicize successful events

  • Ensure that all spokespeople are media trained before speaking externally with the press or other public outlets

  • Provide support to spokespeople before, during and after an interview, including guidance on how to respond to media questions

  • Analyze and measure Social Media and PR effectiveness to optimize results

    What you’ll need:

  • Must be an innovator in the social space, up to date on the latest engagement tactics, platforms, distribution methods, and overall technologies

  • Established PR track record and media contacts

  • A passion for and expert knowledge of the natural food and beverage industry

  • 3-4 years of experience creating original content and acquiring content in various formats to optimize across unique social strategies to drive engagement, audience acquisition and ultimately revenue

  • 3-4 years of professional experience managing and coordinating social media activities on behalf of a cutting-edge business, brand, individual or group

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications or related field

  • A love for analytics and an ability to call out key metrics

  • 2-3 years of experience using social listening, content distribution, and management and reporting tools, i.e. Spredfast and FB Ads Manager

  • Proficient in Google Suite along with a comfort level using Adobe Creative Suite and/or other design focused software

  • A good eye for design and the ability to source and edit images

  • Copywriting experience

  • A customer service mindset

  • A solid understanding of SEO and Content Marketing

  • Experience running paid social campaigns

  • Photography, videography, and design skills are a HUGE plus

  • A passion and expert knowledge of the food and beverage industry
