RBC is located in the heart of the City of Good Neighbors, Buffalo, NY. We’re a young brewery, established in 2013, and on the heels of the “resurgence” of the city (see what we did there?). Many are flocking to the region for our good eats, affordable living, friendly atmosphere, craft brew scene, new opportunities, and, of course, experiencing all four seasons! We’re a big city, but not too big. There are very few degrees of separation and we value hard work. We’re die hard sports fans, perfectly positioned between the Great Lakes (on Lake Erie) and the Finger Lakes, and rich in history, architecture and the arts.

We are adding a brand new 30 bbl facility to our current 15 bbl making about 3K bbl/yr. We are also adding a 10 bbl sour facility about 40 minutes outside of the city. It’s truly an exciting time to be a part of our company! This individual will spearhead tap room, kitchen and catering/event operations. The possibilities are endless.

What you’ll be doing:
The Director of Tap Room Operations will report directly to the President. It will act as a General Manager role. You will oversee and manage all tap room operation and personnel. You’ll be building a new role and leading by example to support our brewery’s culture and brand. This is a high level, executive position. We’re looking for a proven high level executive candidate. The ideal candidate will exhibit dedication, hunger, brand loyalty, and inspire others to do the same.
What you’ll need:
Supervisory experience. We’re looking for at least three (3) years of leadership/supervisory experience in the hospitality/restaurant/brewery industry. You will lead an awesome team of highly skilled and trained Resurgenites. A degree from an accredited program in Management, Hospitality or related field. You must be wildly detail-oriented and demonstrate high level problem solving. You must be able to prove your ability to effectively manage back-of-house and front-of-house processes while maintaining a lean, efficient work environment. You must be self-motivated, enjoy working in a team environment, and possess a “can do” attitude. Being able to work as a team, find and implement solutions, and maintaining a positive attitude will be keys to success. Energy, reliability, confidence and ambition are necessary traits.
Budgeting experience. We’re looking for someone with a minimum two (2) years of experience managing a budget and revenue generation. Inventory management, overseeing tap room maintenance, and compliance with state/local regulations will fall in this person’s lap.
Event Management and Customer Service experience. This individual will be the driving force to providing the ultimate guest experience at multiple sites. Training staff, collaborating events with appropriate personnel and implementing effective protocols are some of the primary objectives.
