Summary of responsibilities:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for supervising all warehouse operations, keeping an eye on process improvement and efficiency. The Logistics Manager will also have a focus on all inbound and outbound shipments as well as keep open communication with Two Roads distributors and contract brewing customers.  

Working Relationships:

The Logistics Manager will have three direct reports including the Warehouse Manager and two Dock Supervisors. He/she will also be responsible for ensuring the Warehouse Manager effectively manages the remaining warehouse staff (currently six other staff members). Finally, the Logistics Manager will need to have extremely close relationships with all members of the remaining Logistics Team and the Packaging Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create monthly shipping file and distribute to all necessary personnel and distributors
  • Field questions from distributors and sales team, identifying if sales order or shipping changes are feasible
  • Work with logistics and packaging teams to understand and react to all production changes
  • Daily Review of production, verifying inventory in warehouse and troubleshooting when necessary
  • Revise sales orders and monthly shipping file when necessary, communicating all shipping changes to distributors and TRB sales team
  • Ensure all warehouse inventory movements are properly tracked and recorded into OBeer
  • Provide support to and develop all three direct reports, meeting monthly to discuss progress on any projects and daily duties
  • Minimize shipping errors by developing a self-sufficient dock team for loading and unloading trucks, ensuring FIFO practices are followed
  • Track all shipping errors and compile reports highlighting areas of potential improvement
  • Ensure all warehouse team shifts are appropriately staffed and all team members are buying into company culture
  • Work with Warehouse Manager to create and manage upkeep of KPI reports
  • Support contract customers with coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring warehouse staff if aware of all shipments
  • Successfully train dock supervisors and warehouse manager to verify incoming delivery paperwork and distribute documents to the proper parties
  • Provide assistance to remaining Logistics Team when necessary

Skills and Abilities

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Operations, or related field of study with a minimum 3 years of experience in logistics
  • Moderate analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Posses strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift at least 30lbs
