Runamok Maple is a rapidly growing, diversified maple products company located in Fairfax, Vt. We produce a premium line of barrel-aged, smoked and infused maple syrup under the Runamok Maple brand and also sell maple syrup, candy and cream under the Wild4 Maple brand to the conventional grocery market. We pride ourselves in quality, innovation and changing the way people think about and use maple syrup.
We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Regional Sales Manager with specialty food sales experience to be based in the western region.
The Regional Sales Manager will be our sales lead for a strong network of distributors, food brokers and retail partners in the geographic area from the Rocky Mountains west. S/he will be responsible for increasing sales volume across multiple channels of retailers including natural and traditional grocery, food service/on-premise, drug, mass, private label and convenience. Helping to build sales velocity through increased brand awareness among regional consumers and influencers is also very important.

can develop demo programs with third-party groups to support brand awareness and drive annual business plans.
has managed trade marketing plans for national and regional retailers.
Education, Experience & Expectations:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of education and experience.
5+ years of relevant experience in CPG sales, operations or key account selling position.
Track record of success in building/executing sales and trade marketing plans.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations and product training
Knowledge or experience in selling private label food products.
Self-motivated to seize upon opportunities through in-person meetings, phone and email communications. Setting pace and example for broker network in territory.
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a home office work environment with access to reliable transportation and a major airport.
Excellent interpersonal skills that foster solid business relationships.
Comfortable using technology as a key part of the job. Skilled in the Google Suite of products as well as MS Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
Travel will be required for HQ meetings, broker ride-alongs, store walks and demos in assigned territory.
Attend national/regional trade shows and weekend trade events in territory.
Attend quarterly sales meeting at Runamok offices in Fairfax, VT
Complete and submit monthly/quarterly sales updates for self, brokers and distributors.
Communicate with management on progress, problems, opportunities and marketplace or plan changes.
